International Islamic University Islamabad

International Islamic University (IIU) Islamabad was established on 1980 (Muharram 1, 1401) as Islamic University and in 1985 the university was upgraded and reconstituted as “International Islamic University”. The university was established with the aim of produce graduates with capabilities of Islamic learning to cope new challenges in different fields of life. IIU is the internationally famous and reputed Islamic university.

Today the University has nine (9) faculties and six (6) independent academies, institutes and centers. The University is setting up over One Hundred Twenty (120) academic programs with enrollment of over 17,000 including 7,000 female students. Moreover, around 2,000 are enrolled in the Iqra Centre for Technical Education (ICTE).
